The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans), in partnership with the Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRPC), invites you to attend a public meeting for the Vergennes Planning and Environment Linkages (PEL) Study, a study regarding truck traffic in Vergennes, on November 3.

The Vergennes PEL Study is evaluating transportation alternatives that reduce the impact of large truck traffic on VT Route 22A and Downtown Vergennes to enhance the quality of life and economic vitality in Vergennes and the surrounding towns.

Based on feedback gathered during the spring public workshops and input from the technical and policy committees and coordinating agencies, the Study team revised the screening criteria and the long list of potential alternatives. The Study team is now completing the initial screening of the long list of potential alternatives.

The purpose of the public meeting is to present the amended screening criteria, review the initial screening process and outcome, and gather feedback from the public. Participation will be provided both in-person and remotely through the Zoom platform.
